Associate Professor Huang Wei won the "Science China: Earth Sciences" 2017 Hot Paper Award

The cover academic article 'Definition of the core zone of the 'westerlies-dominated climatic regime', and its controlling factors during the instrumental Cover article for period', which was written by Huang Wei and Academician Chen Fahu from the Key Laboratory of Westen Chian’s Environment of Ministry of Education, Lanzhou University, was named 2017 Hot Paper Award byChina Science: Earth Science magazine.

About the auther:Dr. Huang Wei, Associate Professor of College of Earth and Environmental Science(CEES)and Key Laboratory of Westen Chian’s Environment of Ministry of Education, Lanzhou University.He is mainly engaged in the study of climate change and the interaction mechanism of westerly-monsoon in arid regions. He has published more than 20 SCI papers in important academic journals such as Journal of Climate, Quaternary Science Reviews, Science China: Earth Sciences, etc. In the past three years, he has published 5 SCI papers in one or first correspondence author, including 2 articles in 1 district and 2 articles. The cover article 'Science China: Earth Sciences' was published. In 2016, he was appointed as a member of the Scientific Steering Committee of the Central Asia Atmospheric Science Research Center of the China Meteorological Administration. In 2017, he was the co-visitor of the “Advances in Climate Change Research” and organized the album “Multi-scale climate variations in the arid Central Asia”.
